Well my first 81 came in Wednesday.  It looks great! It's about 90% restored  - just needs 7 shelves blasted and painted and the same for the bottle stack.  Couple adjustments...

What kinds of bottles fit in this machine?.  I know the 6-12 oz glass will fit - any plastic soda or water bottles?

I saw LOTS of beer bottles that look like they would fit, but we don't drink beer.  So it's going to be water and soft drinks of some kind.

Thanks,
JP

Great Looking 81.. YOu said you bought it partially restored? Not bad at all. the inside stuff you could do yourself I'm sure.
I haven't tried putting other types or shapes of bottles other than standard size bottles. I believe Coke does make some Slimer Plastic bottles that I 've seen around that should fit through the openting in the front of the bottle stack. Otherwise there are some places that sell bottled "POP" just flavored soda that fit in the machine... i think there is a link on this site to someone who sells it? anyone know where to find that stuff???
Nice machine! Congrats  finding that first 81 is kinda like the "First Time" !!!!  you'll never forget it!!!! ha ha
