I have an opportunity to purchase a nice C- 72 with all parts. It hasn't been turned on since 1965 according to the owner whom I belvieve. He's asking $1000 but I can probably get him down to around $800. It's been a while since I have bought & sold soda machines, is this a fair price? Since I DON'T KNOW IF THE MACHINE COOLS PROPERLY this might be a tough answer. It has no body damage and could be displayed in it's original condition with a little clean up. Sorry no pics.

If it is in as good original condition as you say, then I would buy it for the $800! For a $1000, I would like it to cool or at least know if it runs. It probably does though as I have not had too many of the old machines that don't once rewired properly. I have seen them go for more, but I personally would not pay more.

Sounds like a good price to me... I'm assuming the c-72 is the 50's version round top? I'd buy it if it's original and is displayable as is?

If you haven't bought it yet .... Get it!!!!!... A buddy sold one on eBay last year, not complete for
$1500.00 then they paid to have it shipped to Canada....
A $800-grand for a 72 anymore is a deal... You'll regret it if you don't and can make money on it
if you decide to sell it later....

72 is very desirable. I sold one to BITW 4 years ago for $900.
