So does Pepsi make any glass bottles that will work in our machines? I like Coke just fine, but since I have a Pepsi machine, I would like to have some Pepsi for it.  Thanks

Yea, but it's hard to find and will run you about $1.50 a bottle I think.  You will probably have better luck finding Mexican Pepsi.

Doctor - Thanks for the link to the website. Will bookmark that one.

Had a good look through. Can't believe people can get so passionate over "Lemon Fanta" or "Curly Wurly." Nice to see that us Brits have something you Yanks want and have to pay a fortune to get. Today whilst out and about I will seek out and enjoy a bottle of Lemon Fanta and take comfort in the fact that hree thousand miles away there is someone who has paid four times what I have for the pleasure. Just this once the tables have turned.

On another note. I here you guys always raving about Mexican "Pop" is there really that much difference or do you need to be a connoisseur

Dave - The only difference between most Mexican sodas and the U.S. versions is that in Mexico they still use real sugar not High Fructose Syrup like we do here in the U.S. and in the case of Pepsi, it's more widely bottled in Mexico.

There are a few bottlers in the U.S. that still proudly use real Imperial Cane Sugar. Dr. Pepper is still bottled in Dublin, Texas using the real deal! It's a little pricey to have it shipped but to me it's well worth the price. If you live local you can still buy from the plant and return them to get em' refilled! Here's the website for the Plant/store:

Mexican food stores carry Mexican soda.  Like Brian said, they are made with sugar and also they are packaged in glass (usually 12 oz.).  I'm sure you can find a Mexican food store somewhere in Indy.

There is a Mexican restaurant a few blocks from my house and they have Mexican Coke.  Personally, I can't tell a difference between that and US Coke that is in a glass bottle.

Or, some members have talked about "bottling" there own pop.  Find some old Pepsi bottles, buy a capper, caps and a few 2 liters!  ':drinkers:'

Wait a minute, we also have a member here who works for Pepsi..... '<img'>

Ahhhh, now I get it! I'll have to check into this on Saturday. There are a few Mexican grocery stores around here. Hope they speak some English.  '<img'>
Bottling my own could be an interesting experience too.  ':drinkers:'    Thanks for the info everybody.

Tim

I bottle my own Coke no problem. Just a bit messy but the fizz lasts quite a while.

I just had lupper (hey, it's 3:00 in the afternoon) at the Mexican restaurant and their supplier sent them Pepsi instead of Coke.  I have never had Mexican Pepsi, but I think I prefer it over Mexican Coke.
I brought the two bottles (12 oz) home for my collection.  The old-school one weighs a ton!
