Your right Glenn 10c is not going to be the start of my empire.

I have never seen the Wurlitzer repro in the flesh. Not at any of the Jukebox shows I've been to.
I know that a couple of the dealers were selling them a while back but whether they were popular or not
I don't know. Likewise I have seen the Junior repros pop up every now and then on Ebay UK.
They have always been around the £700.00 mark as an opening bid with a reserve set. Never seen one go yet.

With regard to my 39. I know that a member put a machine on his porch last year for the local kids. I might try that in the summer here. I'd have to leave the dimes out too. Might generate a bit of interest from the mums and dads. Potential soda machine allies.

Dave, You're on to something, so try a trick I saw at an antique shop selling a Vendo 39 (and yes, I still say it was overpriced)
Charge your customers a £1.00, for a dime to use in the machine, they get the thrill of vending the soda, you get the profit....

Dave:

Thanks for the explanation.  I let the neighborhood kids use both my vebdo 56 as well as my Stoner candy machine to vend for a dime.  I hope  this summer to bump it up to 15 cents.  I could use the extra cash. Now if I could only find the correct mechs.
Unfortunatatley, I am going through A JUKEBOX phase.  I hope it doesn't last long.  I need to finish my Cav 96 round top and my Dad's rootbeer Vendo 56 before the wife serves me with divorce papers.

I use a escalera automatic stair climber.  If you knew how many 340 lb jukeboxes, soda machines, gas pumps, and candy machines I have taken out of peoples cellers.  I think the more dificult something is to get out of a basement, the cheaper you can buy it for.  Old folks usually just want somebody to get it out of there.  Ever good junker needs an automatic stair climber.

Brian C,

Well I finally got around to looking up the dolly/handtruck you recommended and it sounds incredible! The answer to my prayers! Now my friends won't have to avoid me everytime I buy something new to go down to (or up out of) my basement gameroom, etc.!

Everyone can read about it here:
http://www.escalera.com/

I had no idea that a battery-powered, automatic step climbing dolly existed.

They even sell portable steps that you put next to your pickup truck so that you can easily and automatically climb it up into your truck on your own!!!

I SOOOOOOOO want one, but am a bit put off by the $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 price tag on a new model.

I checked eBay and did not see any.

Does anyone know where I might find a used or less expensive one?

Don't get me wrong, it would be well worth the price in the longrun, but just too big a chunk to bite off at this time.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks so much,
'kito

The electric company in our area sells huge, heavy water heaters.  They use those stair climbers to get them in/out of basements.
