I am seeking info. on a 5 cent candy machine I just bought. I wasn't planning this trip so I didn't have my digital camera with me. I will be picking it up in a couple of weeks and will post pictures at that time. It is manufactured by Arther H. Dugrenier of Haverhill, Mass.  It's about 14" wide and 5' tall. It has 12 slots, each slot has a oval shaped glass approx. 2"x8" to display the candy bar. Each slot has a push button to the right side to vend the candy bar. The machine sits on a base the slants out towards the bottom and has a door in front to store candy bars.I paid two hundred bucks for the machine and it appears to be complete. He also has a stoner like machine that is missing some parts that I'm gonna try to get. It looks to have about 10-12 selections. '<img'>

Terry,
Did you ever get this machine?
I think I picked up a NOS mech for one.

Terry,

Write Tom From Jersey.  He bought one a few months ago.  I was watching the machine that Tom ended up buying, but as luck would have it, I was tapped out and had to pass on it.

Nice find!  They are cool!  I'm still looking for one.  Maybe one day.

Tom -
Could you post a pic of yours?
Specifically the coin mech for it, but would love to see what it looks like too. Is the candy machine as deco looking as the cig machine?

I picked up my Merit megatouch from a guy that had a nice clean one sitting in his living room. He wasn't home when I was there, so I didn't want to bug his girlfriend about looking around at all of his toys... He offered me a tour of his toys, but I haven't been able to get up there again.. its about 3 hrs away from me..

Is it like this one, this is Jeff Wolf's. I'm sure he would take a few photos of it's insides.

Curtis,
It looks just like that one. I think the guy wanted 50 bucks for it.

Thanks Curtis!

Jeff -
If you could snap a shot of the mech, that would be greatly appreciated.
I just picked up this NOS coin mech that is still in the original shipping box. The postage meter has a date of June 26, 195?1? - can't quite make out the last digit. Someone hand wrote on the right side - "post=71, Ins=20", so in 1951 it cost a total of 91 cents to send this mech insured. Quite a bit different from today's cost.
This is a change-giver mech and still works, but is a little stiff and needs a tune-up. Vends on a nickel and gives a nickel change for a dime. Were all the DuGrenier mechs change-givers or did they have straight-sale mechs too?
I believe it goes in one of the DuGrenier candy machines. Does this look like yours?
