I have a Coke Cavalier CMD-D. Serial is 405853. It is a flip top chest with electric or ice cooling 44inches long, 27 wide, and 37 tall.  Could you give me any idea when made and approximate value? Thanks for any help!

Whatever we tell you may not be accurate without pictures? Is it a wet or dry cooler. Does it have the trays? Or the fan motors working? Is it cooling? Does it have the cap catchers? Is there rust through? Pics are so much easier than pages of descriptors and I don't want to come off as arogant or a smart %$^^  but if you want a ball park figure $250 - $450 in average condition.

I am actually looking up this information for a family member who does not live nearby. He says it is in Good - Excellent condition with original paint. It does work- with electric or ice cooling.  Any suggestions for a reference book would also help.  Thanks for any information.

If it's electric it still could be a wet cooler or a dry cooler. I'm assuming it's a wet cooler if your relative puts ice in it also which makes it less valuable. I would try to get no less than $300 - $400 if it all works. If it worked well and was just a gorgeous original with no rust or paint wear on it it could go for twice that.
