Hello,

I recently purchased a small Progress Coca Cola cooler.  It is in fair shape.  Needs painting and a few pin holes filled.  There is no tray.  Is is supposed to have a tray?  Can some please ID and date the cooler?  Also is it worth the $25 I paid for it???

The image attached is the same type of cooler, but it is in better shape than the one I have.

THANKS,
David

The style cooler you have is called the airline cooler.  If you bought a cooler like that for 25.00, you did very well. As for the date on your cooler these were mfg. over a wide range from 50's through the 60's.  '<img'>

I would have paid the $25.00 for it, I think you did fairly well. My book reads average condition value is $65.00. you have the progress A1 model This is what the book says about it:

Very common. Has galvanized lift out food tray and interior. Bar across top keeps lid locked closed. Bottle opener is provided on front near top. Drain is also on front produced for so long it can be found with many different embossings. This model is much more popular and desirable than the A2. sandwich trays be tough to find for both this and the A2.

Nice cooler
