Hello,

I am restoring a Vendo 81-A and a Vendo 110, what type of paint gives the best results and what are the color numbers for the red and the white.  One other question, I am restoring a Fridgidaire Pepsi chest, I repainted the chest the correct "Pepsi Yellow" but what is the correct Blue for the embossed lettering?
Thanks in advance

Nick,

Color codes always seems to be a contraversal subject... 'dontget'
You might contact Steve at Fun-Tronics (Click Here/Contact Info) and see if he can shed a little light on correct paint codes from the 50's.
As for type of paint, I'm partial to PPG Paints and products. If you're new to painting, you might locate someone that will paint the cabinet/door while you practice painting on the little parts... '<img'>
The Pepsi lettering... Well, chances are that this will be done with One-Shot Sign Enamel paint specifically for lettering and you might have to compromise alittle on a color.  Locate someone that carries a full line of 1-Shot Paint and look at the color charts for your choices and see if you can match it closely... My six cents,
