Well I here's up my latest machine, it's a LaCrosse LVC170-R-5
Steel-Can vendor, (note the triangular "pull-tab" slot where the bottle opener should have been) I scored it for $20.00 of of eBay! it's in good shape, ( the signs cracked along the top though) compressor runs cold & quite, the 5th selection button seems to have misplaced it's vending switch at some point, but at least all of the vending columns work fine though, as does the Coinco S75-9800A coinmech, & I belive I have an extra vending switch in my spare parts bin (same as an early Dixie Narco) I rubbed it out with a little elbow grease & polishing compound, & the color came back nicely, now I got to remove all of the sticky-tape residue off of the button-windows

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

That's a nice looking machine.. reminds me of my cornelius vendor which looks to be a simmilar era..  nice touch with the xmas lights.. I wish mine had standard candellabra sockets..  (has DC bayonets, much less common)..

I have exactly the same sticky tape material on my vendor.. mainly holding the plexi-glass sign into the frame..

For $20 that's a score ! I'm envious  '<img'>

Yea, those are Xmas lights! I picked it up in Dexter, Michigan at a local NAPA truck store, the owner had aquired it from a defunked National Guard motor pool garage...heres a closeup of the missing selection switch & the bypass wiring job they'd done.

Yeah, I seen this one and had my finger on the bid button until I seen who was bidding.  No sense driving the price up. Good score Johnie.
