I just sent my Pepsi V63 to Cincinnati Oh via Forward air. I couldn't believe the price. the owner wanted the machine standing up on a pallet so I did that. The machine was on a 3'X4' pallet and weighed 355 LBS. Cincinnati is about 550 miles so it isn't too far of a hop. The total was $80 and it will be there in the morning. I couldn't believe how cheep it was. I just wanted to pass this info on.

No as of now all he took was what could fit on the air plane and rented a furnished apartment. Forward air only ships to the US and Canada. Even thought the name says Air it is a trucking company. They station their facilities neer airports so they forward air cargo.

Josh,
I too am amazed by the cheap price quotes that they recently gave me. I asked them repeatedly are you sure. They quoted me 120.00 to ship a 350# crated cooler to Texas from California '<img'>

Looks like it's time to start buying machines where ever they may be...
At those prices, shipping isn't really that much of a factor!

Main stipulation: seller must deliver to their nearest Fwd Air terminal and buyer must pickup from a Forward air terminal. Problem is not all areas have Fwd Air service and it's hard to convince a seller to drop it off.
Solve those two problems and this is definately the way to go for machines.

Glen is right, for my machine (bought in Arkansas) I paid more to have it picked up from sellers garage and delivered to forward air, which was about 30 miles than the price from forward air to ship from Little Rock to Los Angeles.  I found the shipper from seller to forward air in Little Rock by asking the crew at the Little Rock Foward Air for recommendations since Foward Air will not pack and crate.
