Nice Nice Nice!!!!!!!!! ':p'   Talk about attention to detail!!  Very inspiring.

Did you change to a non-light up front sign?

Also, how did you restore the gold on the front coin panel?

Thanks for all of the kind words. The Chrome magic man is Philip from Super Fine Shine. His shop is located in Chillicothe, Ohio and he does great work. He's a real people person and is very "attention to detail" based.

Bob -

I wish the machine had come with the original lighted sign accessory. The sign that you saw in the before picture came with the machine. When I saw the Ebay auction for it, I almost fell out of my chair. When I got up to Fort Wayne to pick it up, I was very disappointed. It turns out the sign is about 3/4" too small and isn't original.

So....I've toyed with converting it. I really need to measure the opening and see if the "lite-up sign panel" that Funtronics sells will fit. Thanks to Josh, I know that I can go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and have their framemakers put together a frame for it and I'd be done!

Do you guys think it would look better? (considering originallity).

The light up sign is to a 55 but it is to a later model 55. The machines with the gold coin bezel that doesn't hinge out with the door have the larger sign. the machines with the chrome coin bezel that hinge out with the coin door have the smaller signs like the one that came with your machine. So this person probably bought a light up sign that was for a 55 but for the wrong model. This is the same for Cavalier 64's and 80's. As far as I know Funtronics only sells the small one. But here is a trick for you. You go to a Vinyl shop and have them make you a sign out of white plexiglass and have them make the sign out of transparent vinyl. Then have them cut you a piece of clear plexiglass and put it in front of the white plexi with the vinyl on it and it looks silk screened. It is really cheep and it looks great.
