Cavalier ccs-96

Saturday I drove to Wichita, Ks and picked up a Cavalier CCS-96.  The person who owned it before the guy I bought it from removed the vending mechanisms, chopped most of the wiring up, and ran a plug in for the lights so the lights would come on without the compressor coming on.  While I was picking it up I plugged the compressor in.  The compressor cooled down the machine but any where you touched the machine you would get a good shock.  Last night I found a place where the cord was broken/cut and put back together.  The negative wire was touching one of the power wires.  I separated them and the machine no longer tries to kill you.  I ran the compressor for an hour and a half.  It cooled down to 26 F within 15 minutes.  

The machine had been repainted at one time.  Instead of removing the original stickers on the sides, they were panted over and new stickers were badly put on.  As you can see in the picture the wood grain was removed. There are two areas on the machine that looks like somebody took a welder and tried to do repairs.  The bottom of the machine where the compressor sits is a little bent but fixable.  My wife has made a claim on this machine and is already talking about what SHE wants to do to the machine. '>   For example:  Putting fake leather where the wood grain would go.  We have seen it done on a Vendo 126 Dr Pepper machine and it did look good.  So now it is time to start looking for the parts I am missing.

Is that a cold air return duct on the front? Please tell me they didn't cut a hole in the front of the machine.

Thanks a lot!!!!  You had to make me look.  They did cut a hole in the machine.  '>   I am going to have to find some sheet metal to fix it.

The USS and the CSS parts are not interchangeable. I have tried it and it doesn't work.

I figured that would be the case because the width of my machine is about 11 inches smaller then his.  '>
