Hello

Will a bottle rack from a V-56 fit a V-63 & will the bottle rack from a V63 fit a V56. If so do you transfer the racks or use the orginal racks due to length?  Both machines are square tops.

I just checking for knowledge base  here while at work! I am sure Josh has the answer.

Thanks

Kevin

Kevin,
As long as the 56 is electric vend the racks will directly interchange. The 63's shelves are longer. Think Josh has cut them down to fit a 56 though.
Looks like you could extend a 56 shelf to work in a 63. I don't think it would be worth the trouble.

63 shelves are about an inch or two longer than the 56. I have cut them and the worked just fine except the little thing that stcks down to hold them in place on the bottom of the shelf has to be cut off but they stay in place and work fine. I am getting a 63 this weekend if you need some shelves. And yes the bottle racks are exactly the same.

Hey

Great news.

I went out to measure tonight when I got home. I could not get a good measurement from front to back on the V63 rack because it was still in the machine. I guess I have a regular V-63 that I can make  bottle or can.

Josh if you have 7 shelves for a V-63 I would like to buy them. I can then add the extra can slide to the shelves & with my can rack. Presto Can-Bottle machine!

If you want to know what the "extra can slide " is here is description.   You take an 18 inch long  1/2 by 1/2 "L" section of metal & screw/rivet in to place as a back stop for the cans. This keeps the cans forward on the shelf so it will roll into the can rack.  I can not take credit for this but I saw it on the five V56 bottle shelves I just bought on ebay.

I will post some pictures when  get it set up

I still have to get the machines. I am set to get them this weekend. Their condition will determine what I am going to do with them but I am sure we can work something out.

Hello

I made the switch today.

Installed the can rack into my V63.  First the mounting holes did not line up. So I used self tapping screws to mount the rack, then I removed those screws & used the orginal mounting screws.

Next I had to bend up the last downward fold to the back of the V63 shelves. This folded metal mounts in the bottle rack but is not needed in the can rack. I folded it straight so if need be I could rebend it down. Then I mounted the backstop to the bottle rack to keep the cans forward on the shelf. I once again used the self tapping screws to mount the 18 inch strips.  ( note I used the screws from the top to the bottom & I think this screw punctured two cans of sprite as I tested the operation. So I will remove the screws & mount them from the bottom towards the top or I may even rivet the backstop racks in place)

So now I have a V63 that I can use as can or bottle machine. I think this will be good in the resale market.

So I just need the 7 V63 bottle shelves from Josh for complete sets.

I will post some pictures on Monday.

Ths V63 had been sitting the garage & apart for about three months & when I put it back together & plugged it in. 38 degrees in about  30 minutes.
