Well these machines are addicting. First I have no jukeboxes and suddenly I have two.
I am keeping my Wurlitzer 3600 "SuperStar" (mentioned in another thread), but only a couple days later I came across this groovy Seeburg USC-1 Bandshell model (circa 1971) for a really low price, so I bought it in hopes of replacing just a few things and then selling it on eBay. Plus it came with eighty great 45's that I put in my Wurlitzer.

I'm sure you have noticed that the first problem is the smashed small panel in the machine's upper left-hand corner.
It will probably be tough to get that piece, but I'll try.
See the attached photo below.

Actually there is this same model on eBay and I asked the seller that if I won the auction, could he just send me a few parts instead of freighting the whole machine to me and he said, "Sure... but no glass pieces". Well, maybe I can somehow change his mind.

Anyway, anyone have one of these or know where I can get a few parts for it?

Thanks

Incidentally, I have read in tons of sources on the web, that this model has really really nice sound, due to the bandshell shape. I just hope it doesn't turn into a moneypit.

Hi Markito

not sure what the jukebox scene is like in the US but here in the UK it probably wouldn't be worth your while doing up a 70's machine.

Anything after the Silver age (1962 for Rockola with the Empress, Probably back end of the 1950's with Wurlitzer 2204 maybe the 2300 models & the Conti's with AMI) drops massively in money.

What a difference a year makes. Jukes are very addictive. I have four that have literally broken the bank. Prices here are double plus a good bit more than what they are in the US.

What's the wife going to say wth two addictions running at the same time.

I shiftted all my jukes two floors down at the weekend nto my new game(s)room. Pictures to follow shortly.

Next time around I'm collecting stamps.

Dave don't forget candy machines! Small....can find them fairly cheap... and they're like little soda machines! Coin-op stuff is way to go!

Dave, I know what you mean. Stamps and thimbles would be much easier on the back when moving. '<img'>  But how boring we would be! ':p'

Eric - Funny you should mention candy machines.I have recently won an auction on a wrigleys gum vendor and will be picking it up when i go the the States next month.

I am getting quite attached to those Hershey chocolate bar vendors and the Adams ones too. Don't think the wife would be too pleased.

Dave, when you do come to the states, I sure do wish that you were passing through Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota. No chance your flight will be doing a layover here as you cross this country?
I'd love to meet you in person, you are a great guy.

Ditto on Markito's statement.  Dave, it would be great to meet you in person!  I could get you a tour of the shipyard and onboard FARRAGUT and her sister ship BAINBRIDGE as well.

I have a Wurlitzer 1050, AMI D-80 and AMI E-80, and know of a couple of places that you might try for parts:

www.victoryglass.com - have an online catalog but also carry a lot of parts from old machines that aren't in the catalog

www.jukeboxusa.com - have an online catalog

www.jukeboxparts.com - huge selection. probably the biggest and best source of parts for parted out machines but, in my opinion, way over-priced.  I'd try them last.

Here are a couple of other links.  They don't sell parts but have a lot of good information and links.
