....And remember our brothers and sisters overseas that are the reason we still celebrate this holiday.

Dave, strangely enough, I'm a big fan of Lord Nelson, truly one of the best sea tacticians ever!!  I always love reading about battles where the underdog wins, not because of better technology but because of superior training, sheer tenacity, and never-say-die attitude.  Look at the Quasi-war between the U.S and France.  Although it was an undeclared war fought entirely between navies, our 9 ship Navy (one frigate, eight cutters) whipped the snot out of the much larger French Navy.

Okay, enough history lessons for tonight.  Right now (well, as soon as I'm done typing '>  ) I'm lifting a pint in salute to our English brothers and Lord Nelson as well as our U.S. heroes, past and present who keep us free.  Thank God for people like them who are willing to step into the breach.

God Blessings on all and hopes for a safe and fun holiday!  I'll be prearing our Navy's newest Destroyer to be launched soon, what better way to celebrate our freedom?

"Whipped the snot out of" something or someone - Phraseology used widely in Texas and the Deep South to depict a distinctly one-sided battle between individuals or organized fighting forces usually ending in the utter defeat of the vanquished.  It is a more polite and acceptable phrase normally used in place of the phrase "Kicked the sh** out of" something or someone when there is concern over the acceptance of the second phrase due to the makeup of the intended audience.
