I have had this coke machine foe a few years. It works great but I would like to get a vendo-96. What do you think? Condition is good needs a paint job & a strip of chrome to be top notch.....

re-pete, Welcome to the group. Great to have you here. Is there any way that you could post some photos of the machine? It helps us all to get a better sense of it's condition, etc.

OK I finally got a picture. Anyone want to take a guess at the value of this westinghouse?
Runs good, missing one piece of chrome around the top. I haven't figured out how to work the change mechanisim yet.....

Hey Pete,
Just put 15 cents in the "change mechanisim" to get it to work! '>
Just kidding... What is it doing or not doing correctly...? Do you have a model number or a photo of the coin mech you can post...?

I found out the "change mechanism" is from National Rejectors Inc. It appears to get power to unload change.... The model is: 08-56-207 type 02 When you put your change in it drops straight through to the coin return???
Any thoughts suggestions on getting this changer working?

Hi re-pete, Welcome aboard. The National part is actully the slug rejector. A good bath is in order first off. Clips should allow it to be lifted up and out. Then scrub with hot soapy water, run through the dishwasher, soak in acetone take your pick.
That one looks pretty clean so I'd start with soft brushes, and hot soapy water. Rinse and dry completly ASAP. Try it again. Machine should be level as possible. Do all coins drop straight through?
Someone else will need to help with the electric vend/change assembly (large grey unit). It should say Coinco,Mars, VariPrice etc.. on it somewhere. That info will help as well.
A read through the "Coin Mech" forum will help, we've all been right where you are and lived to tell about it :-). Creighton
