ok I'm having a lot of trouble finding parts and wiring to rewire the Vendo 56. Took the door liner off the wires look useable, but feel like I should rewire it anyway.

Where can I get the supplies I need.  Female jones, (for the coin mech), light socket for the vending door, locking clip for connecting the wires from the door to the cooling system, 5 1/2 ftt wire!

OR is there any one out there that can build me a new wiring system ?

Newark has the jones sockets here..

You should post in the swap meet area, I was looking for the socket myself and vend_dr was kind enough to give me one !  I'm sure others have one they can sell/give away..

The light socket and locking clip I'm not sure of, but again try the swap meet.. who knows what people have..

If the wire is just standard electrical wire (simmilar to household wiring) then any hardware/electrical store should sell it by the reel or per foot...

I think that from now on the female jones socket should be renamed the "Shirley Jones" or "Mrs. Partridge".  ':p'

The wires were cut!  Why not splice them back together and be done ?

The wires were cut on the coin mech. The male end.

What I need are the wires to rewire the light socket, plug
to the female socket and locking clip to the cooling system.
This is all that is in the insulation inside the door liner.
About 5 1/2 feet of wires x 7.

I think I found some things in memphis wont know until Monday.

The wires are broken, stretched and cracked from the force they were pulled out.

Pulled from the front by the plug. This caused the wires to break at the plug, seperate and crack at the light socket. Come loose from the locking clip.

Jas,

I have a replacement Female Jones Plug (AKA, Shirley, better Kito?) that I could send you. It's form/fit/function are the same. If you want to see an example of the one I'm talking about, take alook in the Photo section of SMC under my Cavalier 55 restoration. It's either on the 2nd or 3rd page. It uses slide-on spade connectors versus a crimped pin with locking tab like the original. That makes it easir to troubleshoot/replace if you ever need to in the future. Let me know and I'll be more than happy to send you one!

As for the bottle door fixture, I haven't found any that have the same mounting hole config. as of yet. I'll scrounge around for one, but maybe somebody else might have a used one from a parted out machine. I'll bet one is running around here!

Does anyone know if the wiring harness for the Vendo 56 and Vendo 63 are identical?  I've made wiring harnesses before but always had an original on hand to copy from.  If they are identical then I can create a new wiring harness for Jas' machine using my 63 as the base to copy from.
