I recently acquired a cavalier 72 machine.  After a day or two randomly, the machine acts like someone has deposited money and you can just pull a coke out.  Once you reset, then it requires money again.  It will require money until it randomly trips again.  Any ideas?

What is the brand / manufacturer & model number  of your coinmech?   If it’s a CoinCo 9800 series, then it’s probably a logic board issue, typically a bad filter capacitor, if so then it will cause phantom vends & more often than not make the coinmech eject all of its change/ nickels (called “Jackpotting “) it’s a pretty easy fix this f you are handy with a soldering iron, if not then the coinmech will need to be serviced for repairs or replaced
