Vendo Coin Changer

Greetings everyone.  On the later version of the Vendo Coin Changer; The window (pictured) is spring loaded and shows, “Empty” when the nickel hopper is empty.  When it is not empty all that is shown is this ugly blank.  Is this correct?  I have never seen any thing different.

My changer is all original as yours appears to be and there is nothing on the fixed little plate showing in the window while the hopper has nickels.
Would probably look better if it displayed 10 and 25 cent logos...

Looks like a good little project to come up with a decal of some sorts to replace the "blank" look when loaded with nickels.

Thanks for the replies.  Confirmed as I had suspected.  And, yes, my intent is to make a suitable decal saying, Insert coin” or something like that.  Other ideas are, Quarters Dimes, or just a blank red.  Any other suggestions?
