Hello all and Happy 4th of July!

Well I screwed up and assumed that Funtronics and/or Soda Jerk Works sold the aluminum ID tags that go on the compressor plate so I didn't care too much that while in the process of cleaning mine up, I scrubbed off all the black paint that had the "field names" for this ID tag. To my SURPRISE - Funtronics or SJW doesn't sell this exact tag. (Picture one is my original tag still in the machine).

So I'm on a venture to get one recreated but need to double check my "field names" that I've inserted on my bare aluminum tag (see pic) ...... A big shout out to slapshot who helped me by providing a couple of pictures of his tag. I was able to determine most of the field names.

To complete my drawing, it would be extremely helpful if I had a good picture of what this tag looks like with all the black and the field names on it to finish out my drawing. I will then draw mine up to scale and take it to a shop so they can reproduce two new ones ......a blank one and a new stamped one with my specific field values on it.

I plan on talking to Funtronics to see if I provided a good blank tag for them if they could have their tag supplier make some for Funtronics to sell.

Hey Bob,

I feel your pain regarding the assumption of thinking a particular item is available from either supplier!
At your convenience, give me a call to offer some assistance...

Jim, Thanks for the conversation, the tag contact and your willingness to help! Much appreciated!

jt2139, your picture is very much welcomed! Thank you for posting! Yours seems to be an exact layout as mine. Can you tell what the field value is just to the right of the serial number? Looks like something "HD"??

I think the VT1D might be what the tag is calling the Model No.

From left to right on the top row, the first "field" is called the Serial No. I can't make out what the next field is called - it looks like it "ML HD ?? then your number starting with 31H4 ??

Now I'm just curious for my knowledge - does anyone know what B.M. No. stands for?

Well what a fun little project! I found out that there are so many various tags even on the same model of machine. This project would have never gone forward without the help from other folks providing pictures, an actual tag and then of course Jim's huge help in the design, drawing & final supply of the tag.

We tried to make as much of a generic tag as possible with pre-populating the more common fields. Some good feedback so far was to leave the refrigerant type and refrigerant volume empty. If a machine was to get updated to a new type of refrigerant & volume, then these new values could get stamped in along with the Model#, Serial# and B.M. #

If you find yourself needing one of these, check with Janet @ Fun-Tronics, she just might add these to her catalog?

Best to all & stay safe!
