Hello, would appreciate any help. I’m from the UK and have bought a VMC144 SA. Does anyone know how much these machines needed to give a bottle of coke?

Once the money has gone in, I’m guessing it powered one of the three motors to turn the metal holder dropping the selection you made?

Has anyone got original pictures do what decals it would have had on the machine?

And lastly I’ve read the embossed Coca Cola sign ones are rare? Is this true?

Thank you for advise.

Marshall,

I had a VMC 144 SA embossed Coca Cola and while that is a rare machine, it is not desirable to most people due to it's size--too big and weight--400lbs.  That being said, it is likely a bit more rare in the UK.  I bought mine for $200 and considered myself lucky being able to sell it for $275.  Mine was complete but needed to be rewired and needed some compressor work.  If you are buying it to enjoy and not interesting in flipping it for more money, you should restore it to your liking and enjoy the machine.  After restoration, you will have more money into the machine than you will be able realize at sale.

A lot of the 144's are being converted for other uses.  My friend considered buying mine and converting it into a gun cabinet.  Several have been converted into speakeasy doors to secret rooms.  I wish I would have kept mine for a secret door.

Cheers!

Thank you for the information, are you aware of what price the coke would vend from this coin mech? As in would it be 10 cents for the machine to work and vend or 5 cents? Etc etc. Plus do you know what this switch is for? Thank you.

You need to remove the coin rejector on the top normally there are adjusting pot you can set . Normally these were 10c machines . If you fill the coin nickel tubes up and you have product in the delivery stack / bottle/can stack to trip the relays you can put a Quarter in and see if it drops change or will allow you to bend a product
