Hi all,

I'm currently working with a 70's era Cornelius pepsi machine, but I'm doubtful I'll fetch much more than $200 - $300 for it.. (that's with new coin mech, new lock, new lights & wiring, cleaned, etc)..  I only paid $100 for it tho..

I was wondering for my next project, what would be a nice collectors item that I would make more than a few $$ from restoring ? (I see a lot of people here have round top coke machines, with the slanted shelves & glass door)

Regards,
Chris

You can't go wrong with the Vendo 39, 56, 81, VMC 81s or Cavalier 72 & 96s
those are your best roundtop glass doors. Good $$$$$

My cornelius squaretop is only small.. a bit over 5' tall and 3.5' wide..  (or did you mean the type that sit on a stand, e.g. skybox ?)

Girlfriend is OK with one machine at a time.. long as it stays in the shed..  ':<img:'>

I sure hope that the "shed" is some slang term for your rec. room! '<img'>
If you have room, try to talk her in to putting it in the house.  Look at all the room it will save in the refridgerator '<img'> .  Also, notice the selection of soda and beer.  ':drinkers:'  If not, think of some other plan  '' (unless this is at her place '<img'> )

Unfortunately shed = garage (and @ her place).. but I'm sure with a round top machine (fully restored) I'd get it in the house..

I love those Vendo 44's . The little size and the round edges.  It's amazing to me at 5 cents a bottle those machines brought in a whopping $2.20. I saw one at a flea market, al original, but he wanted $2500 for it. To bad he knew what he had.

DanV,
2500.00 is the going price for a 44. Keep looking and eventually you'll find one much cheaper. Terry ':drinkers:'
