Guys
Ive imported a stoner senior with gum vendor to Australia to restore, before i start to disassemble the machine i like to check how it all operates and whether everything is correct for the machine.
The machine has a changemaker and a coin mechanism installed.
i have filled the changegiver with nickels but it doesnt seem to work when a dime is inserted, the dime just passes straight through the coin mech.
When a nickel is inserted it seems to work correctly.
With the coin mech installed i cant see the connection between the dime rejection wire and the coin mechanism. the linkage seems to be above my coin mech when it is installed?
also my machine has two price bar assemblies but only the lower one is connected to my coin mech.
can anyone please give advice on whether the coin mechanism in the machine is correct for the machine.
i have attached a few photos.
cheers
John

Hello John,

The coin-mech pictured is not a change-giver and will work as you have stated. Your coin-mech is "Nickels Only" and has been modified by removing the upper two "fingers" for 10 & 15 cent pricing. Logistics would make it difficult, but I probably have the proper coin-mech...
Hopefully helpful

My six cents,

Faza ,

It true the mech is incorrect .And I’m 1000% sure Jim the man . My question to you is to you have a manual for your machine ? I’m thinking that you may also need to adj you pulls to work the way you want some on 10 cent some on nickel 5 cent our all on a Dime or all on nickel is also possible  . I can’t explain it  tounge tounge

Yes I have the manual I downloaded from this great site, must admit the manual can be a bit confusing.
I think with the correct mech in the machine it will be a lot clearer.

Wondering if anyone could take a picture of the correct coin changer mechanism for me.
Both sides of the mechanism if possible.
Thanks
