Yes, this idea works for Stoners but also the Vendo 56 and Cavalier 72/96.

Hi
You can buy the same type of self stick LED strips straight from the source (China) online.
Will run you about $2 for a single color.
You will have to wait for them to show up though.

They come in WARM white as well, which would be my choice to light a vintage machine.
Some are remote controlled multi colored...in my opinion not needed for this.
They also come in different lengths. 1Meter about $2 shipped.
You can even get 30cm to back light something small.
They are available to run on USB (5V) or (12v)
Rather than using a wall transformer, switching power supplies are available for around $5 that put out 2A and can be
mounted inside the cabinet installed with Velcro (no holes)
