A couple of people requested that I post a picture of the Jacobs 50 that I picked up this year...
If there is a better original Jacobs 50 out there, I would love to see it, as this one is a 9.5. When I bought it, it had white paint all over it, along with these black scuffs that I thought were scratches beneath....
Then I started to clean it all up, and EVERYTHING was coming off, leaving this PEPFECT paint under!! There is one scratch on the back, and a drilled out lock. Very little scuffing at the bottom front (which is almost always a given).

Thanks.
I forgot to mention that the side decals, at some point they screened the square decals over the original ones (Pepsi script) as you can see the slight raised lettering underneath. I guess they wanted to give a more "POP" to the logo, so they went with the standard square 12" sides. (with the '56 date) The front cap is all original too, with very slight cracking at one spot (the size of a quarter)
Fun to know that there are STILL originals out there in this condition. Although I like restored machines.... I would ALWAYS take a 9+ original over a restored.
When a restored machine gets one small pain chip or scratch,.... it's a flaw. When an original machine has a small paint chip or scratch.... it's character.

Do you have a "before" photo you can post up Ed? Be interesting to see the machine as you found it, compared to what it looks like now. Great job

Thanks Leonard, Ray, Andy.
I didn't take any before pictures of the machine... I kinda wish I did because the transformation was surprising.
Over the years I've passed on a couple of 50's out there, both of them needed restoring..... so glad I did as this one, along with my Coke 88 are my 2 best original machines I have.
Now I just need a 9+ Coke 110 large door original machine lol

I do have the sellers posted pictures... but they are dark and doesn't really show the scuffs and paint drips all over.
