Hey Guys,

I have a stoner candy machine, was wondering if anyone had restored the pull slide mechanisms? They need renickling i think but the sections  are blind riveted and if i get the rivets out not sure where i will get the rivets from.

Has anyone restored these or does someone restore them?

Cheers

I recommend removing the three springs and the spring steel bracket that attaches the groove in the pull knob.  These parts do not need to be nickel plated, utilize clear, silver color, zinc plating. I would not drill out the rivet on these parts.

My six cents,

Thank you for the replies guys,

I will research zinc plating them, was not sure it could be done with them still riveted together. I live in Australia and a long way from any platers so i was looking at kits from Cadwell, have you used any of these kits by any chance?

http://www.caswellplating.com.au/store/store.php/products/copy-cad-or-zinc-plating-kit-6-litre

Also 3 of the larger springs are non repairable, is there a suitable replacement that you know of?

Appreciate the help.

Cheers
