I'm able to go this year and plan on dragging my wife with me. I'm curious about who else is going and if any of you can recommend the Pheasant Run hotel or should we stay somewhere else? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

That hotel is decent and conveniently located for the show. I hope you enjoy it! I will be there.

I'm not going in April. Often cold and rainy. Plus April is more gas, oil and signs and way less soda machines, so I prefer November.

I think Pheasant Run is kind of a dump (aka Pheasant Dump or Pheasant Rundown) but is very convenient. They've remodeled the past few years so maybe it's better now. The carpet used to have rips in it, the drains wouldn't drain, etc. The Hilton Gardens is decent but is sold out. Country Inn has been under construction for remodeling for 2+ years but claim it will be finished in 2 months.  They've being saying 2 months for 2 years.

Enjoy the show...Its a good one!

Glad to hear you'll make the show Harrison..
you just never know what you'll see and as far as weather, again , just don't know?

as far a Pheasant run, they have been updating and if you request to stay in the towers, they are all updated and nice. plus the convenience of just walking out front door to the show grounds is nice!

We won't have the room rented, but most of us still go there on Thursday evening and eat. We just pull some seats together.Usually around 6:00 pm of so.

I enjoyed the show, great to see everyone who attended. As for the quality, I thought there was some cool stuff there, in terms of signage especially. Just neat to see everything and fun to look! Hopefully some folks who went agree.

Good Show.  Around 16 SMC members at Portillo's Thursday evening.  Portillo's was extremely crowded as they had 54 Cent chocolate cake for their 54th anniversary.  But, it was nice to visit.

Friday morning was a little cold, but as the sun came out it warmed up and was very nice.  As it warmed up more items came out of the trucks and trailers.  So, I don't know how many times I walked around finding new items each time.

I didn't buy anything.  But, here is a photo of one of the aisles.  Plus a couple of items that grabbed my attention.  Hopefully, some other members will post their finds.

I went with my brother. I bought a Hershey's ice cream clock, barber pole, hamms rippler sign and a play pinball here neon sign. My brother bought a cats eye marbel stop sign and. Round railroad xing sign.  I wanted a double bubble Pepsi clock, but didn't want to pay what they wanted. $750 was the least expensive one. Overall, a good
Show.

The peanut roaster was great.  Even the spring drive for the roasting drum worked!  Also had a big asking price--$6,500.
