Well I traded my Pepsi V-77 and got this almost like new, original, unrestored Cavalier CS-64C. I don't like Pepsi machines, only Coke machines for me.

I just got it tonight and it is now down in its final resting place, my gameroom.

Take a look at it, no stickers, nothing broken, etc. and I haven't even started cleaning it yet:

Forgive my photography, I had to use the camera in my cell phone.

All the parts are there and it runs beautifully.

Anyone know when the CS-64C was made? Everything always says "Early '60s", but does anyone have a year?

Here is a close up:

Yours is the early 64 model. It was made between 1960 and 61. Nice machine. I have an identical machine as a parts machine so let me know if you need anything.

Thanks Kevin.

Josh, should this machine have Bezels around the Cap Opener and Coin Return? I don't think it does, but thought I should ask.

[Edit: I just looked at the illustration in the Soda Machines section and it doesn't look like it had them.]

So realistically, how long must I wait to let the machine/oil settle back down before safely firing turning it on for good?

The wait is always painful.

Just asking, because it has now been 12 hours, but I just want to be sure.

I've heard you should wait 24 hours... Heck I wait a couple days.... to be sure... better safe than sorry......

Kito - 24 hours is sufficient for the oil in the compressor to settle, but Eric's suggestion doesn't hurt either.

Oh yeah, would you be willing to rent out the space on top of your new machine for storage? I have some old greasy bags of rags and some old coffe cups I need to have stored. Thanks in advance!  '<img'>

Ooooh, you are very funny!!! '<img'>

Actually, believe it or not, I plan on putting something on top of that machine!!!

I am applying a sheet of soft felt to the entire bottom of one of my wooden Coca-Cola cases (the kind that holds 24 bottles) and keeping that on top of the machine for people to place their empty bottles in.

The felt will keep the metal and wood from scratching the top of the machine.

So see, I'll allow one safe thing on top of our machines. '<img'>
