Hi, i just picked up this Superior Hot Drink bar 10 cent drop cup machine. Nice compact size, only 19" wide by 10 inches deep by 63 inches tall. Appears complete and all original. would love to get working for my man cave. Only dispenses hot water and powder so not very messy.

Does anyone have any info on this machine?

Thanks,

Jeff

Just for fun I disconnected the water heater power and plugged the machine in.
Everything worked perfectly. I now have to figure out what kind of cups it used and where to buy them.
Here is how it operates:

Coin up: This spins the cup dispenser and drops a cup.
Select your powder: cocoa, coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. You can push the button as many times as you wish for more powder.
Push the water button: This dispenses a pre-measured amount of hot water.
Enjoy your drink

The machine also has a small heater in the base to keep the cabinet warm. It says this will keep the ingredients flowing.

I plan to now take the machine apart and clean it thoroughly. Replace the water lines and test the water heater.

I want to install the machine in my basement and use it.

The mechanism looks similar to the coffee machines from the late 60's into the 70's. I hope the bins were all clean before they moth balled it. The powders turned to goo, which then turned to rock and froze the augers.
It looks to be in great shape.
Clean it up really well. A little lubriplate on the wear parts wouldn't hurt.
Clean the tank with vinegar unless it's really heavily caked with lime.
Hopefully all of the motors are free.

Good luck!

I have one of these, it's still in the original crate! Cool find. This is the only other one I have seen.
