Chaps. I am restoring the last of my three cigarette machines that I have had for some years now.

As its the last one I think I may have stolen bits off it over the years to get the other two complete.

Its all done now. New Chrome, paint etc and I have been putting it together for the last few nights.

I've run into trouble. I put the mech back in the cabinet and have realised that there is a considerable distance between
the coin entry plate and the coin mech in the cabinet. The coin just goes through and falls into the cabinet 9 times out of ten.

Am I missing some sort of channel to take the coin from the plate to the rejector??

Hope I've explained that ok???

It does indeed Jim and now I remember taking off. A long shot I know but I don't suppose anyone has this piece they want to part with. Thanks Dave

Over this weekend, I'll have a look in a parts box and see if I have a spare...

and now I remember taking off.

Dave, It's important not to loose parts ! ! !  Especially, if you took it off ! ! !

Looks like a part that would not be too hard to make, and you will get it faster than finding one over here.

Ha Glen you are so right. Jim thank you for offering to look. I had a bit of time today and managed to fashion something that does the job more than adequately.

I think the part was missing from the last machine I restored and I robbed Peter to feed Paul.

All complete now apart from the glass and decals.

A good tip Jim told me when I did mine was to cut 2 "pieces of glass which equals the same as the original thickness which I believe is 1/2 " that way the decal is between the 2 pieces of glass will last longer .

Wish I'd known that before. Already got my single piece.
