I found this at a Swap Meet a few months ago.  It's a cardboard sign with sometyle of wax coating on the top.

It was a little flimsy so I under up purchasing a 4x4 sheet of under-layment board and gluing it with a strong adhesive.  I hoping that will give it a little longer life... Notice the NRA eagle in the bottom left corner.

Nice cardboard!  Why was Hostess endorsing the NRA back then?

The company made headlines a few years ago when the union voted themselves a raise,
knowing it would shutter the business.

In honor of the history of that company we branded a National pastry machine a couple of years ago.
James painted and hand lettered it.

This seal appears on many items and is actually a governmental agency called National Recovery Administration formed in 1933.

My six cents,

I had thought with the Eagle it might of been National Rifle Association .  Thanks for sharing...

The NRA was the root of all of the depression era Works Progress Administration (WPA) programs aimed at putting people to work and bring us back from the depression. This is where the government began employing millions of unemployed men for tasks around the country, solving the unemployment problem and stimulating the economy. It was a national movement that resulted in highways, rural electrification and many other major improvements in the US.
Also the start of the thought process that Government can create "jobs"
