Meier stores still have these horses refurbished and ready fir the kids. Rides are 1c.
There is a picture of one of the Meier family standing with a bunch of these rides when they bought them in the 50's

Until some un-elected demagogue decides Snapple isn't healthy enough either and they get yanked, too. 

I did see an later USS-64 in use here while back. It was in a hair salon. Apparently, Coca Cola still maintains and stocks it. Who'da thunk, right?
