We cut out the old bottom pans and have new ones made at a local sheet metal place..
as far as Labor and time, its' faster and cheaper than trying to spot fix or lay in fiberglass..
As stated, depends on the quality of restoration your looking at doing... I like the bottom of the pan (upper area of the compressor unit) to be just as nice as the rest of the machine.. so just easier to start with new.
If you need one ,I can see if my body guy has an extra... we usually make up 3-4 at time to save on production but I just got done with 3 of them. so not sure if he has the xtra or not?
if anyone else needs one, I can look at making another run.. not sure on cost... probably around 30-40 bucks?
I'm interested . I'd like to see some pictures and have general awareness how it's done before purchasing. Thanks John!
