Got this large spinner neon clock . The neon inside clock works and clock lights up and spins . What are your thoughts on replacement for broken lettering at top of clock . I thought about replacing antiques with -- soda fountain -- garage -- auto repair -- or what ever , even Coca Cola but that might be too fake for a 1939 clock . The
guy at the neon shop said with the 4 holes for the neon I could go with two words any thoughts what would look good . White is what neon is in side clock.

What interest you most soda, gas and oil, music... Any place you remember going or maybe your parents talking about growing up? I would think of a
place that brings good memories... an example, for me Lewis' Cafe' a place we went growing up after church with my parent and grandparents.. hamburgers,
home made onion rings and a chocolate malt... still there today been there since the early 40s.  Anyway..I would go with something that means something to
you or your family that can be passed down. There's my 2 cents.

Can't wait to see how it turns out. Best of luck.. Killer clock by the way! happydrinkers

"Cold Beer" or "Ice Cold" might look good.

Pretty sure that the "antiques" at the top isn't original.
There is enough space for "Soda Shop" , or your favorite soda or machine ? "Nesbitt's", "Grapette" ?

Your first ideas were all pretty good. While it waits for retoration, you have some time to think about it.

Neon is not that complicated, so it could be changed out periodically.  It is somewhat fragile, though.

How about "hammer time"?  laugh

I think "auto parts" or "auto repair" would look good; could do blue neon if a Ford fan.

Beautiful clock.  I like Eric's suggestion and doing something that means something to you.

How bout "NELSON'S" and then send it over to me!!! biggrin

other suggestions in case you don't like suggestion number 1:

YOUR Last name
AUTO PARTS
SERVICE
FOOD/DRINK
CURRENT TIME

OR what others have suggested sounds good...
either way it's not original anyway, so do what you'd like to it.
