Interesting that it has a timer several wide or narrow column motors I have seen are set with a micro switch . Each switch on the motor has a plastic disc.  The disk can be adjusted by simply loosening a screw this times the motor without a timer module needed.

Some vending motor disks can be adjusted to vend different size bottles or cans, also for adjusting the number of containers in that particular column, IE: two cans ( back to back) in a single-wide column vs four cans in a double wide column.

It all plays into the timing of the vending cycle of the machine.
