Is anyone reproducing the front glass for these Stoners? The gum side is fine but the main glass has some flaking on this one.

Likewise, does anyone reproduce the mirror with the decals behind?

Jim would be the man on this, but here is something I found on ebay:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stoner-Candy-Machine-Ad-Glass-7-pull-vendo-/222051290388 .  These guys carry the decal for the glass (not the glass though) and the decal for the mirror, but not a reproduction mirror:  https://www.sodadecals.com/products.php?cat=36&pg=5 .

Great! Thanks for the info.

I just picked up another candy with some flaking on the glass. Everything else is intact and should work. It still has gum in the wheel, and a mouse guard on the delivery tray.

We had around 25 of these Stoners on location back in the 70's. My dad was a accountant and he liked cheap older machines. I kept one original Stoner that had the decal on the mirror behind the glass. All the rest had plain mirrors so the deluxe mirror may have been an option. I'll post pics of that one when I dig the machine out.

All of those went to the scrap yard when we replaced them.

Only problem with this method of placing the decal on the mirror is that 1/4" or 3/16" mirror with a decal has a terrible shadow due to the glass thickness and the sliver backing!  To some, this is acceptable, to others this doesn't look good...  I am looking into a venture of having several mirror models made in both Red & Teal color schemes... This is not something that will happen in the next month or so, I'm projecting sometime later this summer...

My six cents,

Let me know if you end up making these with the decal on the back side of the mirror.  I would be interested in one.
