Hello all,

Just found this little gem at a cool coinop warehouse in MD.  Feel like I got a good deal but I haven't been in this game very long.  With the limited research I've done and the seemingly small amount of info I can gather from the internets this appears to be a SelectVend type 96 I believe.  I saw the Dr Pepper and just had to have it!  Here are some pics for those that know more than me could hopefully use to verify.  Let me know what you all think.  And if anyone has an idea of where to get service manuals or instructions on this type of machine I'd be very greatful!

Did you get it at their auction they had this past weekend?

Yeah, I got it through the auction. I went to look at it last week before the auction and plugged it in. It kicked over but then when I looked closer either the condenser or evaporator was unplugged from the main unit. It's hard to describe without knowing the terminology. Basically there look to be two main machines for the cooling one just below the shelves with cooling fins and a bottle connected in line that seems to be where the cooling comes from and then a blower below that. The cooler part was unplugged from the main plug going out the back. Bottom line I could really use a manual if any one can point me in the right direction.

That is the compressor which plugs into the main wiring harness.
Forget about finding a manual, they're not written to answer technical questions anyways.
Everything you need to know is here at SMC, somewhere in the discussion areas.

Thanks for the replies.  Here are a couple more pictures to describe what I was talking about.  Hopefully once I get it to my place and plug everything in it works outright but I'm not 100% sure it will.  It is missing a lock for the front though.  Where would be the best place to look for a replacement?

You can order a lock from a sponsor site like FunTronics or Soda Jerk Works both great part suppliers!

They also sell complete wiring harnesses with wiring diagrams

Finally got it all cleaned up but unfortunately I never let it run very long and I come to find out while the compressor and fans all sound like they work, it never gets cold.  I'm pretty out of my depth with the refrigeration unit and I'm not sure where to even start.  The bottom part seems to get really warm and I assume it is the compressor part.  Any advice where to start trouble shooting?  Could it just be out of freon?  Can I get more?  Thanks for any responses.
