Does anybody have advice for getting the hands off without damaging them? I've been known to be too rough in the past and don't want to mess up anything, the inner bubble glass is pretty dirty on its back side or else I wouldn't even attempt it, thanks

Man that's a killer clock!.... I'm clueless on cleaning... Maybe the folks at Wayne's Clock could help if you can contact them still...

sure, the second hand has a built in screw, you have to turn it by the little knob on the top, once the second hand is off you will see a silver nut holding the minute hand in place, just turn this until it comes off, then the  minute and hour hands just pop off, you just have to apply enough pressure to get through the 60 years of stuck, on my clock the minute hand came off no problem, but the hour hand took some playing with.

just have to take your time and not pull anything too hard...

That's a nice clock I always liked the double bubble clocks. There are 6 in the series and I have all six. They kind of messed up the double bubble pepsi clock market when they reproduced a couple of the faces.
