The next few images are of the inside.
The inner door skin(black plastic) is perfect no cracks.
There is a date on the patent decal of 7/57
That may be only for when this model was patent. but at
least we know this model did come around in 57.
Wondering what type of heads are on these screws. they
are not phillips or for a plain flat head... almost like
a allen wrench type.... anyone know?.....
The coin mech looks good and seems to be all there just
needs to be cleaned.

And finally... the only place I see that may have problems
the area above the compressor/fan area....
There are little bubbles in the paint. I pushed through some of them but they seem only to go through the paint... the metal is solid but rusted.... Sweat beads.bumps?...
Anyone restoring seen this? Also some rust around the drain.... But there is no sign
of paint lifting/bubbling on the out side around the “waste line”.
Very solid all away around including the back I checked this
out when I was buying it. I'm hoping that it is from sweat...
and not from the inside...time will tell when I restore this and remove the liner..... Very worse case cut the bottom out and have a new one formed...

Any help.... comments on this area and the screw heads will be greatly appreciated..

Eric - If they look kinda like a a black-widows markings (wider at the top and bottom and tapered in the center), then they are called clutch drive.  I was able to find a couple of sizes at Ace Hardware.

yes, I agree...they are clutch head screws sort of like an hour glass...you can get them at most hardware stores.

In terms of the potential rust above the refrigeration, this seems to be a common problem with the round top Vendo 56s.  I have had several over the years and it always seems that the drain rusted out or broke apart and the condensation dripped into the metal pan separating the refrigeration compartment and the main vending area....very annoying!  Feel for soft spots on the outside as well

Yeah nothing on the outside! Thank goodness.. Just little bubbles and spots there on the bottom....
When I tear into this one... hopeing it's just in the bottom area and nothing major... But
if it's worse I'll need to find that thread on the Amish guy that someone had forming that
bottom part! Who was that?..... And wow! Sorry that sounds kinda bad.... Amish guy....
But it was some guy someone found that made killer inserts!... Just in case......
