I have a Cavalier 72 (father purchased new!) that I had restored a few yrs back.  Having prob w/ the release mechanism (relay?).  When proper money is inserted, I hear a loud click from w/in machine; however, the ready light doesn't come on and the mechanism won't release for a good 15-20 seconds or longer.  If machine is full and/or door is open, the delay is shortened??  Is there some relay or similar that might need replacing?? Thanks..

At the bottom of the vending mech is a little box with a solenoid inside that could be the problem. You might check to see that it is moving properly and responding to 110v.

I don't have a CS-72 manual to reference the schematic for further trouble shooting... Perhaps an investment may be in order for one... '<img'>

My six cents,
