I was trolling craigslist last night and found this VMC 72 only 7 minutes from my house . It is all original paint and and everything but the fan on the condensing unit. It is as nice as the 33 I bought from Bob a couple months ago.
Hard to find machine let alone all original in good shape . The machine must have been inside all it's life.

Awesome. Killer machine. As Ed and I say, that machine is underrated. Nice original too. Congrats!

Great find!!

Yes, I've always said the 72 is a VERY underrated machine.
It's very narrow (like a 33) and has great embossing on it!

It's unique with the dual chute.  You can find these machines with some looking around... but they sure don't pop up like a 33, 39 or 81.

Welcome to the 72 club!

Plus I like the 72 cause that's the year I was born  smile

The pictures don't do it justice the insides are nice too just needs to be cleaned top to bottom and it will look awesome. No rust outside just a small area at bottom of inside liner just a little bit though.

About the 72. Glen was restoring one in his shop last month. As we were looking at the machine I was saying how much I liked it but felt it was unfortunate that is was somewhat tall. It has a very tall base, 8" I think, but the tall base does nothing. Glen thought it was made that way because the chutes were lower unlike the 33 where the chute is at the top of the machine. It would keep people from having to bend down to much when grabbing the bottle. If I were to ever have one restored I think it would look awesome having a small 2" base like the 33.
