I know this is a wide question but do pedal cars from the 50's still have a following and are there still collectors out them for them or has the market fallen on these? I know pre 2008 they were fairly strong but I have never really followed these closely so just wondering how they are doing now? I did a eBay sold completed search and didn't see much but don't know if that is because they aren't selling or just not being offered for sale.

I'm asking because a friend of mine is giving me his collection of pedal cars to sell. I don't know exact inventory yet but going by memory he has about 8-10 cars, all restored. I know he only collected high end stuff so I'm sure there are some nice cars there. I know he has a Torpedo, maybe 2 and a Atomic Missile. Several others as well. All will be sold regardless of market because he no longer displays them and doesn't want to store them.

Any help would be great. Thx.

Here are some that have sold... Some are reproductions in these sold examples.

Wow Eric, I never dreamed there were so many styles made.

Ray, I have a pic of that collection taken 15 years ago.
Who knows how many he still has, but I thought sharing the photo may help get more input.

I think the barber chairs are so cool, where were they when I was a kid?  biggrin

Yeah there are some great ones.. I love the Murry Skipper Boat and the classic Murry Champion... But some of those
late 30s early 40s WOW....  I still have my little 65 Mustang from when I was little... survived through my brothers and
cousins... needs some love but but can't find a supplier for parts anymore...
Anyone know of a supplier.. A kind of Fun-Tronics for the pedal car world.(Rod notice how I name dropped there)  smile
