I ran across this the other week and wanted to post this. Its a video showing how the shellac records were made in the forties. Really cool. I didn't realize how much plating was involved. I would love to see the master room with all the shiny master records.

Holy cow what a process.... who came up with all that... and I wonder if those Master copies that were to be preserved for all time still exist.
Very cool to see the high tech of the time... A lot of work to make a copy of a waltz... love that era of music... Thanks for posting.
