Google search the slogan or look at the different logo changes over the years. I'd say late 70s ...

There is a 7up skin under the Dr pepper if that makes any differance

I was told that that there was a way to tell the year by the ser#. True.

Anyone ? Would their still be a service manual around?

Thanks, seems like night and day from the inner'ds of mine. Must have been a major model change from the standard 165 and mine
