I have a coke vendo 39 that I replaced the thermo about a month ago. Everything was working great up until yesterday. I went to get a coke out of the machine and when I opened the door a gush of warm air came out of the door. I opened it up and it was circulating warm air not cold. I unplugged it and let everything go back to room temp, then I plugged it back in and turned the thermo back on. The compressor felt and sounded like it came on and the compressor fan was running. I don't see any liquid coming out of it. It is the original compressor. I cant see it being the Freon since it was cold 2 days ago....Any clue what has happened and what I need to do...p.s I live in Toronto Canada so I know I cant get anymore Freon to top it up...thanks kevin hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull

Most likely you have moisture in the cap tube that when it's getting cold that moisture is freezing up the cap tube.. so Freon can't flow , but the unit thinks it still needs to run and will stay on trying to pump that Freon through there.. but it can't.

you'll most likely have to get a dryer installed on the line and have it checked out by a service tech.

sorry can't help you out much more than that!

I unplugged it for the night and plugged it back in today and now it's cycling like it should and everything is cold again...should I let it go and see if it does it again??

The moisture John mentioned turned into a little droplet of ice inside your system.
The ice melted overnight and although it may take a while, it will probably form again.

"I opened it up and it was circulating warm air not cold."

Perhaps you've wired the thermostat in backwards...reverse the wires & try again.  tounge

It's not thermo worked cold for 3 weeks. Unplugged works again. I'm thinking it's what the others said frozen moisture . When you say get tech do you mean freezer repair guy?
