ok I am ready to take apart the vending mech and oil it before putting it back into the Vendorlator 56, looking at the mech, is it supposed to have this much of a gap between the captive links from the spring attached?

OK, I went ahead and took everything apart. cleaned and oiled it all.

When I placed it back together it all slid into place and now is from what I can tell ready to go back in the machine.

The gap must have been why it wouldnt vend but only from a couple ports!!!!!??

Live and learn.

Fully assembled.

Thought that would be a scary job removing and oiling the thing.

Actually it was fairly easy. Thank God for digital cameras to take pics before (the way it is) during (as it's taken apart) after (to use as a guide to put it all back together)!!

no just the bar was off center. Pulled everything out and slid them back into place
after cleaning and oiling. I could feel everything click into place.

The springs look like brand new.

had some very old oil build up very tacky and had to scrape out
some of the oil it felt like glue.
