I have a guy that is offering me a 2 case office cooler that he says is in great origional condition and he wants $800 for it. Is it worth it? it does have the basket still.

I agree with Glen; however, according to Steve Ebners recent price guide, he prices the FD-2 in good condition around $850...
I would offer $400... But that's me; I like the cooler because it's small.

My six cents,

I have a question about Steve's guide; Does it cover only coke machines or does it cover all round and square top types and models?

The one I have only covers "Coke" (Volume II), but the basics apply to all simular machines of different "flavors"

Thanks I will stay away. I just picked up another Cornelius compact 50. Yuck why do I keep buying these things. Well for $30 I couldn't pass it up.

I went today to see the machines and bought the Vf56 but I passed on the Cavalier 2 case cooler. Man was it nice though. It had a rebuilt cooling system in it and he had the receipt for the $400 job. WHo ever did it did it right. It looked origional and cooled great. It is 100% complete and looks great for an origional. It has some nicks that look to be from belt buckles on the lip by the lid but I kind of wish I would have bought the darn thing. But he wouldn't budge from $800.

Wow! I've never seen one of those before. Very cool!
But as you said, too pricey.
Looking at the interior, does it do laundry? '<img'>

I wish I could have gotten it. it was a nice machine. The inside basket lifts out to pre cool more bottles.
