I come across Ideal and Glasco 55 sliders on a regular basis.  Most are in the 3-500 range for complete machines that chill.  I typically pass on them as I'm not a big slider guy.  Are complete 55's worth picking up in the 3-500 range and are there buyers out there who will pay 500+ for a decent cooler?  Thanks for any insight.

No...don't buy them!  Let me buy them instead laugh

Yes, they are worth $300-500 if complete. If you can't resell them complete for $700-800, then part them out.

Coin mechs sell for $250, racks/flappers for $250, cap catchers $75.  Got your money back right there, then sell the slider as a cooler for $200-300.

Ok, I never see them around me, are they worth shipping? Seems like it would cost a lot.

I've wanted a slider since my Navy days, we had one in the ready room and I thought it was the coolest pop machine ever.

When they do show up, most of them will be missing a slider rack or coin mechanism or cap catcher or all of these.
No it is not worthwhile to ship these sliders to you, but find a local working shell and the missing parts can be shipped to you.

I'm near Seattle, when I do see one it seems to be missing the rack and mech. I'll keep looking though. I want one!
