If your getting it for yourself as a keeper, then Pay what you feel you can afford.. but as far as value, keep in mind this is a nice original and would not need a 1500+- paint job/body work.  so you could keep it original and just clean it up and such.. so for that purpose you could justify spending 1000-1500 if you really like it.

if your buying it to flip.. then gotta be below 750 IMO... and if your looking for one to restore, I'd pass on this one and find one in rougher shape.

Good luck!

I sold a nice original solid red V39 for $2,000 and really didn't have any trouble selling it, it was here for a week or two before it sold.

Everyone is AWESOME on this site... and the advise is very, very helpful.

Hope to keep.. but I have 2 now and we will see what the keeper of the wallet says.  I have to find a way to get it
because he says he will part it out if I do not... as it may be worth more in "parts."

To me.. that is just wrong.   I will figure it out and pass the rest of the story along... and we can all travel together on the
road of.. save that machine!

If he parts it out he's crazy!  Plus I don't think on a 39 that is accurate. Worth more in parts.

Shame to part out a survivor for sure!
However, Goose, the sum of the parts is almost always greater than the whole.
Coin mech & crank handle
Slug rejector
Coin door
Coin Entry Bezel
Vending Drum
Ratchet assembly
Drum reset
Drum Post
Main Door & Cabinet
Door Liner
Coin Box and cap catcher
Sold Out Flag Assembly
Add it up - moderate estimates would total $1500 or more!

Well, I just can't let a working machine... in this condition... can't do it.. I just can't let him take it apart and sell the stuff.  I will figure it out and let you guys know the end story.

Even if you do have $1500 in parts, that's doesn't include time and effort to sell everything off individually. Thats assuming you sell everything and there are no fees involved. Long and short, keep that machine intact.
