American Restoration Officially Canceled on History

vintage-air:
Not a bit of talent or restoration skills on that show. Can't believe it was on as long as it was with those inflated prices!

tkaz:
It's been a hell of a ride from the show and what it has done to this hobby though, from the good to the bad.  At one of my local shows selling lamps a few weeks ago a guy showed up asking if I'd be interested in restoring his vintage fan, but his real dream was to send it off to Rick instead.  Just about drove me crazy, I ended up giving him a couple of names of folks on the forum after trying to explain that stuff wasn't always as it seems on TV.

mygoose101:
Does that mean reruns are going to go up in value because new ones are no longer being made?

BONOVOX:
Reruns of American Restorations are converting to Seinfelds......

They found scripts under a table at a swap meet.

       I must agree with Tom.
I have an 81 in my shop for restoration right now. Customer inquired to Rick's about restoring it. They told him 6 to 12 months and $10,000.
